PULLMAN, WA — Pullman Regional Hospital has named Dr. Kimberley Guida, a longtime Family Medicine Physician at Pullman Family Medicine, as the recipient of the 2025 Physician Excellence Award.
Dr. Guida has cared for patients across the Palouse for more than 20 years and was nominated by several colleagues for the annual award. She was selected from a group of seven nominees representing multiple hospital departments and community clinics.
Colleagues praised Dr. Guida for her leadership, empathy, and dedication to collaborative care. Her peers described her as someone who “creates an environment of teamwork and collaboration by encouraging and supporting her colleagues to be their best selves.” Others noted her ability to “listen without judgment” and her consistent demonstration of respect, trust, and mentorship—particularly during challenging times or among colleagues experiencing burnout.
One nomination highlighted Dr. Guida’s natural leadership, stating, “She is the type of leader I would follow even without a title or formal position.” Another recounted a patient encounter in which a mother spoke about Dr. Guida delivering her baby 22 years ago and continuing to hold deep appreciation for the care she received.
