New Executive Director Named for U of I Alumni Association

MOSCOW, ID — The University of Idaho has appointed Vicki Sell as its new senior director of Alumni Relations and executive director of the University of Idaho Alumni Association (UIAA). Her tenure begins Dec. 30.

Sell will oversee efforts to strengthen engagement between the university and its network of more than 117,000 alumni worldwide. Her role includes guiding UIAA operations and expanding opportunities that connect graduates back to the university.

Before returning to U of I, Sell served as senior director of Human Resources for Albertsons Companies, Inc., and previously held leadership roles at St. Luke’s Regional Health System. University officials say her background in strategic team development and relationship-building will support the continued growth of alumni programs.

“This role is deeply personal and professionally aligned with my passion for community building and strategic engagement,” Sell said in the announcement. “I am excited to continue the legacy of strengthening alumni connections and elevate the Vandal spirit across generations.”

Sell graduated from U of I in 1989 with a degree from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. The Vandal connection runs through her family, with both her parents and several relatives attending the university.

U of I President Scott Green said Sell’s experience and long-standing ties to the institution make her a strong fit for the role. “Her lifelong dedication to our university and demonstrated expertise in bringing people together will further elevate and connect our Vandal Family,” Green said.
