Idaho Capitol’s Christmas Tree Will be lit Next Week

BOISE, ID – Idahoans are invited to celebrate the lighting of Idaho’s Capitol Christmas tree next week.

The ceremony on Dec. 3 will feature holiday music, remarks from Gov. Brad Little and First Lady Teresa Little, and photo opportunities, candy canes, and bookmarks from Santa Claus and his elf, according to a news release from the Idaho governor’s office.

When: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3

Where: Idaho State Capitol Building at 700 W. Jefferson St. in downtown Boise

After the lighting, guests can visit the Capitol until the festivities end. Idaho’s 2025 State Christmas ornament and other items by Idaho artists will be available in the Capitol Gift Shop.

Complimentary cookies, hot cocoa, and coffee will be available while supplies last.
