LEWISTON, ID — A 40-year-old Lewiston man has been charged with felony first-degree stalking after he allegedly violated a no-contact order by showing up at a youth football game, photographing the protected person, and later sending her messages about what he saw, according to court documents.

The victim reported receiving messages from Joshua Corder on Nov. 23 indicating he had watched her at a Sept. 20 football game and had taken photos of her while she was with another man. She told officers the messages left her “scared” and “panicked,” adding that similar behavior has reportedly occurred before. She also stated that she “never knows what to expect from him.”

Investigators say the victim identified Corder at the game on 13th Street, detailing his clothing and where he was standing. Text messages, photographs, body-camera footage, and statements were documented to support the report.

Corder is the respondent in a valid no-contact order that bars him from contacting, harassing, or stalking the protected person and requires him to remain at least 300 feet away. Police contend his presence at the game and the messages he later sent appeared intentional and in direct conflict with the order.

Prosecutors wrote that his conduct meets the statutory criteria for first-degree stalking because the behavior purportedly occurred while the no-contact order was still active. Officers noted the victim experienced “significant alarm and emotional distress” as a result of his actions.

Lewiston Police arrested Corder on Nov. 25 and booked him into the Nez Perce County Jail. In addition to the new felony stalking charge, officers served him with an Agent’s Warrant for which he will also need to appear.

A judge reviewed the affidavit on Nov. 26 and found probable cause for the felony charge to proceed.
