MOSCOW, ID – A 26-year-old man wanted on arrest warrants allegedly eluded Moscow Police before crashing outside of town on Friday night.

Moscow Officers tried to pullover Jeremy Eyrich on Friday night around 11:00 on North Main Street. Eyrich allegedly failed to pullover and led officers on a high speed pursuit North of town.

Police discontinued the chase when they lost sight of the vehicle. Latah County Sheriff’s Deputies then found Eyrich’s car crashed and abandoned in a field off U.S. Highway 95. The Whitman County sheriff’s office then received a report of a man named Jeremy showing up at a home asking for a ride and claiming that he just hit a deer.

Deputies pulled over the Good Samaritan who was giving Eyrich a ride home. Eyrich was arrested on drug related warrants out of Idaho. He is also expected to face an eluding charge for the Moscow car chase.
