BOISE, ID – Idaho protects more than $291 million of unclaimed property and funds like forgotten bank accounts, rebates, insurance payouts and refunds.
Last month, the Idaho State Treasurer’s Office returned a record-breaking amount to Idahoans: $2.25 million, the office announced in a news release Tuesday. Now, State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth wants Idahoans to see if they have any unclaimed property by checking the state’s online database at YourMoney.Idaho.Gov.
Unclaimed property will be available until owners reclaim it. If you have questions, call staff in the Treasurer’s Office’s unclaimed property division at 208-332-2942.
