Idaho State Police have confirmed that one juvenile student involved in the school bus crash on State Highway 25 was transported by air ambulance to a hospital in Utah for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Due to the age of those involved and ongoing medical care, no additional information regarding injuries or the medical condition of juvenile patients will be released at this time.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. Monday. State Highway 25 has since reopened to regular traffic. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
TWIN FALLS, ID – A serious crash involving two school buses occurred just before 6:15 a.m. Monday on westbound State Highway 25 near milepost 43, just outside the city of Paul, east of Twin Falls, according to the Idaho State Police.
Seventeen students were on board the buses at the time of the crash. One bus driver required extrication, and both drivers were airlifted to hospitals. Four students were transported to local hospitals by ambulance or private vehicles. Authorities say the students’ injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
All students have since been reunited with their parents or guardians. Troopers are working closely with the local school district, and any questions about the students or reunification are being directed to the district.
State Highway 25 remains closed in both directions at the crash site. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
