BOISE, ID — Washington State University alumni and football fans traveling to Boise for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will have several opportunities to gather and celebrate ahead of the Cougars’ matchup against Utah State.
According to Washington State University, a series of official events is planned in Boise leading up to the game, including a pregame gathering, welcome reception, and fan watch parties.
The official Cougar pregame event is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon Mountain Time at the Tent Village near Albertsons Stadium. The ticketed event will feature a breakfast buffet, giveaways, and appearances by the Cougar Marching Band and spirit squad. Tickets are available to members of the WSU Alumni Association and affiliated groups at a discounted rate, with non-members paying a higher fee.
Additional festivities begin Sunday evening, Dec. 21, with the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Mash Bash from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Boise Centre on the Grove. The event will include performances from marching bands and cheer squads representing both teams.
Later that evening, the WSU Foundation will host a welcome reception and Cougar football hour from 7 to 9 p.m. at Treefort Music Hall in downtown Boise. Registration for the reception is required and closes Friday, Dec. 19.
For fans traveling from eastern Washington, the WSU Alumni Association is offering round-trip charter bus service to Boise on game day. Pickups are scheduled early Monday morning in Spokane and Pullman, with tickets to the game sold separately.
Watch parties for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl are also planned across the country, with kickoff set for 11 a.m. Pacific Time on Monday. A full list of watch party locations and ticket information for the game is available through the WSU Alumni Association.
