Asotin County seeks resident input following Wednesday’s windstorm

ASOTIN, WA – The Asotin County Department of Emergency Management is asking residents to report impacts they experienced from a windstorm that moved through the area Wednesday morning.

County officials say collecting information directly from residents will help them better understand how the storm affected the community and guide recovery efforts. The information may also help inform future response planning if similar weather events occur.

Residents can complete an impact survey through the Asotin County Emergency Management Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/AsotinCountyDEM

The survey is also available directly at:

For residents who are uncomfortable completing the full survey but still want to report specific issues, such as property damage or ongoing power outages, impacts can be emailed to:
impacts@asotincountywa.gov

“Although Asotin County has not declared an emergency as a result of the windstorm and is not currently part of the governor’s disaster declaration related to atmospheric river impacts elsewhere in the state, the input received through this survey may help expedite assistance to those who need it if that situation changes,” county officials said.

Residents with questions can contact the Asotin County Department of Emergency Management for more information.
