COTTONWOOD, ID – A Lewiston man was arrested Wednesday evening following a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 95 south of Cottonwood.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received multiple 911 calls at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 reporting a vehicle accident near Crea Lane, close to milepost 251. Callers reported a gray Subaru was on its side.
A responding deputy made contact with the driver and reported smelling alcohol. A DUI investigation was conducted at the scene, which resulted in the driver’s arrest.
Zackery Stewart, 39, of Lewiston, was arrested on a felony driving under the influence charge.
The case remains under investigation. The charge is an allegation, and Stewart is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
