PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, CO – For the 70th consecutive year, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, is tracking Santa Claus as he makes his worldwide journey delivering presents on Christmas Eve. NORAD, which monitors and defends North American airspace year-round, adds this special mission each December 24 for children and families around the globe.
On Christmas Eve, children and families can call NORAD’s live operators at 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) from 4 a.m. to midnight MST for updates on Santa’s location. A new web-based calling option allows those without phone access to reach the NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center directly from the website. Virtual translation services support more than 200 languages.
While live operators will be unavailable after midnight, trackers can continue to follow Santa via the tracker below until 2 a.m. PST on December 25.
NORAD personnel in the U.S. and Canada say they are proud to continue the tradition of delighting children worldwide with this annual holiday mission.
