MOSCOW, ID— Artist submissions are now being accepted for a new public mural planned for the City of Moscow’s City Shop facility, according to a press release issued Monday.
The City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission announced the opening of the submission period for the mural project, which will be installed on a new concrete wall on the east side of the City Shop at the intersection of Polk Street and Public Avenue. Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, via the city’s online submission portal.
The wall is scheduled to be constructed in spring 2026. Individual artists and artist teams are invited to submit qualifications along with examples of previous mural work. Project details, eligibility requirements, and submission guidelines are available through the City of Moscow.
According to the release, the mural theme was developed by the Moscow Arts Commission and approved by Moscow City Council. The artwork is intended to recognize the role of the City Shop and its staff in maintaining the city’s public infrastructure and supporting connections between neighborhoods, parks, and downtown Moscow.
