Man Arrested in Southern Idaho After Alleged Plan to Meet Believed Minor for Sex

EAGLE, ID – An man was arrested in southern Idaho in Tuesday on two felony charges following an online investigation conducted by the Eagle Police Department.

According to a press release, Eagle Police deputies, with assistance from Ada County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 34-year-old Meade Justin Chandler at approximately 11:39 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2026. Chandler was booked into the Ada County Jail, where he is being held without bail.

Chandler is charged with felony counts of enticing a child through the use of the internet or other communication device and sexual exploitation of a child. Both charges are listed as not bailable.

Police said the investigation revealed Chandler engaged in inappropriate communications with an Eagle Police detective whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. According to authorities, Chandler later traveled to an agreed-upon location in Eagle with the intent to meet the believed child to engage in sexual activity.

Chandler was arrested upon arrival at the location. The case remains under investigation.
