SANDPOINT, ID — A Bonner County resident has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder following a death investigation in the Samuels area of Bonner County, according to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said 29-year-old Jeremiah Kiley was arrested on January 6 and charged with second-degree murder in the death of his grandfather, 69-year-old Joseph Reyes.
Deputies located Reyes deceased inside his residence. Kiley was taken into custody without incident, sheriff’s officials said.
The sheriff’s office stated the incident was isolated and that the public was not in danger at any time.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
