LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston City Library will host a community celebration on Friday, January 16, from 11 a.m. to noon, honoring Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday and her Imagination Library program. Families are invited to attend the special event, which will feature stories, songs, and treats in a festive, welcoming atmosphere.
Community members are encouraged to dress in colorful coats or add a bit of sparkle in celebration of Parton’s iconic style and legacy. The event is designed as a special story time for children and will be held in partnership with Twin County United Way.
While the country music legend herself will not be in attendance, library staff and partners have been “working 9 to 5” to create a joyful experience filled with smiles and entertainment for young library visitors. The celebration highlights both Parton’s milestone birthday and her long-standing commitment to childhood literacy through the Imagination Library, which provides free books to children.
The event is open to the public and aims to bring the community together for a morning of fun and learning at the library.
