SALEM, OR – Dylan Skaife was electric from 3-point range on Saturday to help (RV) LC State get past Corban (Ore.) in Salem. The sophomore tied the third best single game mark in program history with seven made 3-pointers for a huge career-high of 29 points. The LC Warriors outlasted the hosting Warriors 71-68.
“Gutted another one out tonight on the road,” coach Austin Johnson said. “We struggled to separate and made some mistakes down the stretch but we did just enough to escape. Credit to our guys for hanging in there on the second night of a back-to-back. Happy for Dylan, he was elite and showed what he’s capable of and that helped carry us through every drought we had. We’ll enjoy this but then get back to work for an important home stand.”
The victory improves the LC State record to 12-4 overall and 6-2 in Cascade Conference play.
