GRANGEVILLE, ID – A Bovill man was arrested Sunday afternoon after Idaho County deputies confirmed he had an active felony warrant out of South Dakota and found drugs during the encounter.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call at approximately 2:39 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2026, reporting the location of a person in the area with a felony warrant from South Dakota. Deputies responded, made contact with the individual, and verified his identity. An Idaho County Sheriff’s Office release did not specify the area where the man was reported to have been seen.
Authorities confirmed the felony warrant was active and extraditable through Idaho. During the arrest, deputies located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Rocky Kurzenberger, 62, of Bovill, was arrested on a felony failure to appear warrant out of Butte County, South Dakota, as well as felony possession of methamphetamine, felony concealment of evidence, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Idaho County Jail.
