COLFAX, WA – About a dozen small taxing district levies will decided by voters in several Whitman County communities during the upcoming special election.
Most of the measures are replacement school district levies. There are school facility levies on the ballot in LaCrosse, Steptoe, Rosalia and St. John. Voters in Tekoa, Colfax, Steptoe, Colton, Endicott, Rosalia and St. John have school operations levies to consider.
There are pool levies on the ballot in Garfield and Tekoa.
Those vote by mail ballots will be sent out by the Whitman County Auditor’s Office by the end of next week. Those ballots have to be returned to the auditor’s office postmarked by special election day Tuesday February 10th. The ballots can also be dropped off in voting boxes in Pullman and Colfax.
