LC State Women’s Basketball Climbs to No. 13 in First Poll of 2026

KANSAS CITY, MO. – Lewis-Clark State Women’s Basketball moved up two spots to No. 13 in the first NAIA Women’s Basketball Top 25 Poll of 2026. The Warriors defeated then-No. 18 Corban (Ore.) last weekend to improve to 12-4 on the season and 6-2 in Cascade Conference play.

LC State went 5-1 between polls, including the 97-77 victory over Corban where the LC Warriors shot a staggering 61.4% from the floor. The Warriors rank 15th in the NAIA in field goal percentage this season at 45.3% while Lindsey Wilson ranks eighth individually at 62.8%.

The Warrior women are second the conference in scoring (76.7) and steals per game (11.0). Darian Herring is the top rebounder in the CCC this season with 9.3 per game and leads in total blocks (36). She is fourth in field goal percentage (53.3%) and fifth in assists (53). Payton Hymas is second in steals (41) and third in assists (71) and Sitara Byrd is third in steals (34) and fourth in 3-point percentage (41.7).

Around the CCC, LC State leads the way at No. 13 and Eastern Oregon jumped into the poll at No. 17. Corban fell two spots to No. 20 while Southern Oregon and College of Idaho are receiving votes.
