COLFAX, WA – A 57-year=old Spokane man with a lengthy criminal history is back in jail after a local Washington State Patrol Trooper allegedly caught him with a significant amount of methamphetamine.
Richard Presnell was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Whitman County Thursday night. Trooper Joshua Hudson discovered that Presnell was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Idaho. He was tak

en into custody on the warrant and Trooper Hudson obtained a warrant to search his vehicle. A half pound of meth was reportedly found in Presnell’s car. He was arrested for possession of meth with intent to deliver.
Presnell has been wanted on arrest warrants 19 times in the State of Washington. His currant warrant is out of Kootenai County where he is wanted in a drug case. In 2001 he was convicted in a drug manufacturing case in Washington. Judge Roger Sandberg agreed with the prosecution and placed Presnell on 75,000 dollars bond during his first appearance in Whitman County Superior Court Friday morning. He is set to be arraigned later this month.
