COLFAX, WA — Whitman County is soliciting qualifications from architectural, engineering, surveying, and environmental consulting firms to support planned capital projects through 2030.
According to a Request for Qualifications issued by the Whitman County Commissioners, the county intends to select one or more firms for on-call professional services under negotiated hourly rate agreements. Initial contracts would run for three years, with the option to extend annually for up to three additional years.
Services may include project management, HVAC assessment and design, ADA compliance, capital maintenance, structural and mechanical assessments, surveying, construction oversight, right-of-way planning, transportation studies, and environmental and cultural resource work.
Qualifications are due by 5 p.m. Pacific time on February 23. Evaluations are expected to be completed by February 27, with interviews scheduled March 10–13. A notice of award is anticipated on March 16, followed by contract signing on March 23.
The RFQ will be advertised on the county website beginning January 20 and published in the Whitman County Gazette on January 22 and 27.
