Southern Idaho School Bus Driver Arrested on Child Exploitation Charges

BOISE, ID — An Idaho school bus driver has been arrested on multiple felony charges related to alleged child sexual exploitation, according to the Idaho Attorney General’s Office.

Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that investigators with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested 42-year-old Jeremey Wakeley on January 21, 2026. Wakeley faces four counts of possession of child sexual exploitation material and one count of distribution of child sexual exploitation material. Authorities said Wakeley was employed as a school bus driver with a company that contracts with local schools at the time of his arrest.

The attorney general’s office said investigators have found no evidence of local victims at this time. The investigation involved assistance from multiple agencies, including the Caldwell Police Department, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Nampa Police Department, Meridian Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Anyone with information related to the exploitation of children is encouraged to contact local law enforcement, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Officials emphasized that the charges are allegations and that Wakeley is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
