PULLMAN, WA – The Pullman School Board is set to finalize a deal to buy more land on Sunnyside Hill.
The trustees are scheduled to consider approving the purchase of 30 acres of land off Crestview Street during their meeting on Wednesday night. The Pullman School District wants the undeveloped farmland for future facility needs.
The school board bought 60 acres of land off Crestview in 2021. The latest potential purchase is adjacent to the property that was bought five years ago. In November, the school board was told that the latest offer was to buy the property for 20,000 dollars an acre, bringing the total price to 600,000 dollars.
The purchase in 2021 was for 30,000 dollars an acre for 1.8 million dollars. The Quist Family and Harms Place LLC is set to sell the property to the Pullman School District.
Wednesday night’s Pullman School Board meeting starts at 6:30 inside the high school.
