River otter trapping season to close in Clearwater Region after quota reached

LEWISTON, ID – The river otter trapping season in Idaho’s Clearwater Region will close at 11:59 p.m. Friday, January 30, after the regional harvest quota was met earlier this week.

The Clearwater Region includes Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce counties, as defined in state furbearer regulations .

Fish and Game officials encourage trappers to check current harvest limits and closures before heading out.
