Clarkston High School to Host GEAR UP Career and Internship Fair

CLARKSTON, WA — Clarkston High School will host a GEAR UP Career and Internship Fair on Thursday, April 2, 2026, offering students an opportunity to explore potential career paths and connect with employers from across the region.

The event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Clarkston High School main gymnasium and will bring together local businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Students from Clarkston, Asotin, Pomeroy, and Colton high schools are expected to attend, according to a news release from the Clarkston School District.

Representatives from a variety of fields, including business, healthcare, education, sciences, social work, and behavioral sciences, will be on hand to discuss summer jobs, internships, and long-term career opportunities with students.

The fair is part of the GEAR UP program, which focuses on helping students prepare for education and careers beyond high school. Organizers say the event is designed to give students direct exposure to local industries while helping employers connect with potential future workers.

Organizations interested in participating in the fair are encouraged to contact Pat Sobotta at p.sobotta@wsu.edu for additional information.
