Maryland Man Arrested on Idaho Warrant in Child Exploitation Investigation

NAMPA, ID – A 19-year-old Maryland man has been arrested on a nationwide warrant issued in Canyon County as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation, according to the Nampa Police Department.

Jacob William St. Peter, of Leonardtown, Maryland, was arrested Feb. 3 by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Department of War and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. He faces a felony charge in Nampa of sexual abuse of a child under 16, under Idaho law.

The investigation began in December 2025 after a Nampa resident reported that a minor had received unsolicited explicit images from an unknown adult male through online platforms. A digital forensic examination of the victim’s devices identified the username “randysaystrade,” which investigators say was used across multiple popular platforms.

Police said communications with the suspect included explicit content and references to “764,” an online network the FBI has identified as engaging in coordinated grooming and coercive exploitation of adolescents. Following the investigation, Nampa police obtained a warrant that was served in Maryland.

Nampa police said investigators are concerned there may be additional victims in Idaho. Anyone who believes they, or someone they know, had contact with St. Peter online using the username “randysaystrade” is asked to contact Detective Monroe with the Nampa Police Department at 208-465-2257. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 208-343-2677.

St. Peter remains in custody in Maryland on a $100,000 bond while awaiting extradition to Idaho. Police said the investigation is ongoing and includes forensic analysis of seized devices to identify potential additional victims.
