Schweitzer Wellbeing Center launches new aquatic fitness class schedule

PULLMAN, WA — The Schweitzer Wellbeing Center has announced a new aquatic fitness class schedule, with programs set to begin Feb. 9.

According to the center, the new lineup of aquatic fitness classes is designed for participants of all fitness levels and emphasizes low-impact exercise using the natural resistance of water. The classes aim to improve functional movement, build strength, boost energy, and support overall physical activity in a welcoming environment.

Aquatic fitness sessions are structured to provide a gentle yet effective workout option, particularly for individuals seeking alternatives to higher-impact exercise. Classes will be offered on a drop-in basis, allowing participants flexibility in attendance.

The Schweitzer Wellbeing Center is a community health and fitness facility in Pullman owned and operated by Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories. Originally opened in 2000, the center was donated to the Pullman School District before being reacquired by SEL in 2025 as part of an effort to expand programming and modernize the facility.

More information about the aquatic fitness schedule is available by contacting the Schweitzer Wellbeing Center at 509-334-5700 or visiting selinc.com/wellbeing.
