Train Derailment Reported in Northeastern Washington

STEVENS COUNTY, WA. — Stevens County Emergency Management says a train derailment has been reported near Blue Creek along U.S. Highway 395 in northeastern Washington, north of the town of Colville.

According to officials, railroad crews are on scene assessing the situation. Emergency management officials said the roadway remains open and is not affected by the derailment at this time.

No additional details, including the number of cars involved or whether there were any injuries or hazards, have been released. Stevens County Emergency Management said updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
