Idaho Fugitive Arrested in Spokane on Aggravated Lewd Conduct Charge

SPOKANE, WA — A man wanted in Idaho on a felony child-sex charge was arrested Friday in Spokane by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 28-year-old Christian Harrison Evensizer was taken into custody near Sprague Avenue and Stone Street following an active fugitive investigation. Authorities say Evensizer is charged with Aggravated Lewd Conduct with a Minor Under 12 stemming from a case investigated by the Post Falls Police Department. Court documents allege he sexually assaulted a child under the age of 12.

Officials said members of the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and the Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force located Evensizer and arrested him without incident. Agencies assisting in the investigation included the FBI-Spokane office, Idaho Department of Corrections, Post Falls Police Department, Spokane Valley Police Department, Washington State Department of Corrections, and the Washington State Patrol.

Evensizer was transported to the Spokane County Jail, where he is being held while Idaho authorities seek extradition.

Brent Bunn, U.S. Marshal for the District of Idaho, thanked task-force members and law enforcement partners in both states, noting their “diligent investigative efforts” in locating a fugitive who had been actively evading arrest.

The Marshals Service stated it remains committed to locating and apprehending violent offenders—particularly those accused of crimes against children—through coordinated federal, state, tribal, and local partnerships.
