LEWISTON, ID — The first phase of the City of Lewiston’s 2026 Pipeline Replacement Project on Snake River Avenue is scheduled to wrap up Friday, February 27, with the second phase expected to begin immediately afterward.
The project involves rehabilitation of a portion of the sanitary sewer main along Snake River Avenue between the Southway Roundabout and 11th Avenue.
Phase 1
Since Monday, February 16, traffic has been limited to southbound travel only between 11th Avenue and Southway Avenue. The northbound lane has been closed through the work zone, with traffic delays reported in the area.
City officials previously announced that Phase 1 is scheduled for completion by February 27, though construction timelines remain subject to change depending on conditions.
Phase 2
Phase 2 will begin immediately following the completion of Phase 1. Additional traffic impacts are expected as work continues along the corridor.
The City of Lewiston has contracted with Titan Technologies to complete the project.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through the construction area. As with most infrastructure projects, unforeseen conditions could affect the schedule.
The city has not announced a firm completion date for Phase 2.
