
COLFAX, WA— The Palouse Conservation District will host a Soil Health Breakfast for area farmers and ranchers on Wednesday, March 4, from 8 to 10 a.m. at The Center in Colfax, attached to the library at 110 S. Main St.
The event includes a complimentary breakfast and focuses on peer-to-peer discussion of soil health practices used across the Palouse
Featured speaker Neil Appel, a third-generation farmer near Dusty, transitioned from conventional practices to no-till in 2010 and later incorporated cover crops. He will discuss his experience moving toward a regenerative model and lessons learned in soil management
