CLARKSTON, WA – A 19-year-old woman was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a reported residential burglary and stolen vehicle case in Clarkston, according to court documents filed in Asotin County Superior Court.

Genessa B. Musgrove was arrested by Clarkston Police at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Monday in the 300 block of 14th Street. She was booked into the Asotin County Jail on charges of residential burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to a statement of probable cause, officers were dispatched around 4:20 p.m. to the 700 block of Fourth St. for a reported burglary. The reporting party told police she returned home and discovered someone had entered her residence, taken her vehicle and two dogs, and gone through her belongings.

While responding, police observed a white 2024 Subaru Crosstrek matching the description of the reported stolen vehicle. After confirming the license plate, the officer initiated a traffic stop.

Musgrove was identified as the driver. Police said she did not have a driver’s license or vehicle documents. She allegedly told the officer the vehicle was not stolen and that she was transporting it and two German Shepherd dogs as a favor to the owner.

Officers reported the residence showed signs of forced entry and appeared ransacked. Dispatch advised Musgrove did not have a valid license and had an active warrant for fourth-degree assault. She was detained and later arrested.

The victim was transported to the scene, where she recovered her vehicle and dogs and completed a motor vehicle theft report. She later told police that additional items were missing, including clothing, shoes, and makeup.

Musgrove was transported to the Asotin County Jail and booked on the charges related to the incident and her outstanding warrant.
