KANSAS CITY, MO – LC State Women’s Basketball will enter the 2026 postseason as the No. 17 team in the NAIA according to the final poll. The Warriors went 3-1 in the final two weeks of the regular season and earned the No. 3 seed in the Cascade Conference postseason tournament.
LC State defeated Evergreen (Wash.), Northwest (Wash.) and Bushnell (Ore.) to close out the 2025-26 regular season with a 21-7 record overall and 15-5 in CCC play. The Warriors open the postseason against sixth-seeded (RV) Southern Oregon in the quarterfinal round of the 2026 Cascade Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. The tournament is hosted by top-seeded No. 20 Corban (Ore.).
The Warriors lead the CCC in 3-pointe percentage (35.4), field goal percentage (46.7) and steals per game (12.2) and are second in scoring (78.3) and assists per game (17.3). Darian Herring leads the conference in rebounding (8.9) and total blocks (62) and is fourth in assists (101). Lindsey Wilson is at the top of the conference and eighth in the NAIA in field goal percentage (61.9), and Kendall Wallace leads in 3-pointer percentage (44.5). Payton Hymas ranks second in both steals (73) and assists (119) and Sitara Byrd is fourth in 3-point percentage (41.8).
Around the CCC, conference co-champion Eastern Oregon leads the group at No. 14 just ahead of LC State. Top seed for the conference tournament and other co-champion Corban checked in at No. 20. College of Idaho, Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon are all receiving votes.
