ASOTIN, WA – A pickup truck pulling a fifth-wheel camper was struck by a rock slide Tuesday night, approximately six miles south of Asotin along Snake River Road, according to Asotin County Fire District #1.
Rescue crews from Asotin County Fire District #1 and the City of Asotin Fire Department were dispatched just after 9:30 p.m. following reports that the slide had struck the camper while it was traveling down the roadway.
The rock slide blocked most of the road, though vehicles were able to navigate around the main debris. The Asotin County Road Department arrived around 10:30 p.m. to clear the roadway.
No injuries were reported. The fifth-wheel camper sustained extensive damage.
