CLARKSTON, WA — The Jazz Ambassadors of Washington, D.C., the official touring big band of the United States Army, will perform a free public concert Saturday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the Clarkston High School Auditorium.
Formed in 1969, the 19-member ensemble performs big band swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, traditional New Orleans styles and patriotic selections. The Clarkston appearance is presented by Clarkston High School Band Director Greg Kolar.
The Jazz Ambassadors have performed in all 50 states and internationally, earning a reputation for excellence and the title “America’s Big Band”.
