Pedestrian Struck in Lewiston Vehicle Collision; Investigation Ongoing

LEWISTON, ID — A pedestrian was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Thain Road and Stewart Avenue.

According to a press release from the Lewiston Police Department, officers along with Lewiston Fire and Medics were dispatched to the intersection at about 1:20 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2026, for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.

Responding units found a pedestrian who had been struck in the southbound lanes of Thain Road. The individual was transported by ambulance to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. An update on the person’s condition was not provided.

The department’s Major Collision Investigation Team was called to the scene to investigate. Both southbound lanes and one northbound lane of Thain Road were closed for approximately two and a half hours while investigators processed the scene.

Authorities said no names are being released at this time pending notification of family members. The case remains under active investigation.
