Among the key dates:
- March 1 – The spring turkey controlled hunt application period closes.
- March 15 – The public comment period closes for the 2026–27 migratory game bird season setting.
- March 20 – Deadline for nonresidents to claim tags from the second tag drawing.

- March 31 – Several furbearer trapping seasons close in most of the state.
- March 31 – Hunting seasons close for cottontail rabbit, snowshoe hare and red squirrel.
Fish and Game officials encourage sportsmen and women to double-check season dates and specific regulations in official rule booklets, as restrictions and closing dates can vary by species and area.
