
LEWISTON, ID — The City of Lewiston will begin Phase II of the Snake River Avenue Pipeline Replacement Project on Monday, March 9, 2026, according to a press release issued March 2.
The project will rehabilitate a portion of the sanitary sewer main along Snake River Avenue. City officials said Phase I of the project has already been completed.
During Phase II construction, the southbound lane of Snake River Avenue will be closed from Southway Avenue at the Southway Roundabout to the Southway Bridge, also known as the Clarkston on-ramp. Northbound traffic will remain open. Detour routes will be posted.
Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, March 19, 2026, though officials noted that unforeseen conditions could affect the schedule. The City has contracted with Titan Technologies to complete the work.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution while traveling through the area.
