COLFAX, WA — Deputies are investigating after a vehicle was driven into a cannabis dispensary early Monday morning along State Route 270 outside of Pullman.
According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2:20 a.m. to a burglary alarm at Happy Time Weed Dispensary. Officers with the Pullman Police Department also assisted at the scene.
The alarm company reported a break-in and confirmed that entry had been made into the building. When law enforcement arrived, deputies found a vehicle inside the business after it had been driven through the front wall.
Authorities searched the building and surrounding area but did not locate any suspects. Investigators believe the alarm activation and rapid response from law enforcement may have deterred those involved from remaining at the scene.
Initial information indicates only a minimal amount of inventory was taken. The business is continuing to complete a full inventory assessment to determine the total loss.
The investigation remains ongoing, and deputies said they are pursuing all available leads.
