Two Wins and a Program Record Highlight Big Day for Warrior Dance

LEWISTON, ID – LC State Dance capped its regular season with a pair of victories and a program record on Saturday. The Warriors defeated Carroll (Mont.) in back-to-back duels and scored higher than 80 in both competitions for the first time ever.

LC State scored a record-high of 82.6 to win the first duel of the date. The Warriors performed a clean routine with no deductions and excelled in all three categories: jazz, pom and hip hop. LC earned the commanding win over the Saints who scored 76.2.

In the second duel of the day, the Warriors scored an 81.8, which would’ve been the record if not for the first score of the day. In their second full-out of the day, LC State outscored Carroll’s total of 78.2.

“What a fun day for Warrior Dance,” coach Sydnee Vial said. “We came into this competition wanting to beat our previous scores. At our last few competitions, we were scoring high 70s, and we really wanted to reach the 80s. We beat our previous scores and accomplished our goal. It was a great way to end our season, and I couldn’t be prouder of the performances they put out there.”
