KOOSKIA, ID— A traffic stop in Kooskia on Sunday evening led to the arrest of a Wyoming man on multiple drug-related charges, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies report that at about 7:44 p.m. on March 8, an Idaho County deputy was conducting traffic safety enforcement on Main Street in Kooskia when a white Dodge Durango was stopped for speeding.
While speaking with the driver, the deputy reportedly detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed drug paraphernalia near the center console.
Jeremy Ziegler, 44, of Sheridan, Wyoming, was arrested and booked on charges of alleged felony possession of methamphetamine, alleged misdemeanor driving under the influence, alleged misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and alleged misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
