SPOKANE VALLEY, WA — A man wanted in connection with multiple felony allegations out of Benton County was arrested Wednesday in Spokane Valley by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Jaime Balderas was taken into custody March 11 near the intersection of Park Road and East Valleyway Avenue. Authorities said the arrest was carried out without incident with assistance from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and the Spokane Valley Police Department.
Balderas was wanted on a Benton County Superior Court felony arrest warrant alleging indecent liberties by forcible compulsion, second-degree child molestation and supplying liquor to a person under 21.
The U.S. Marshals Service also stated that Balderas has prior criminal history that includes attempted second-degree murder and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
Following the arrest, Balderas was booked into the Spokane County Jail by the Spokane Valley Police Department and is awaiting further court proceedings.
The arrest was conducted by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force with assistance from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Spokane Valley Police Department and the Washington State Department of Corrections Community Response Unit.
