LEWISTON, ID— A section of 11th Avenue in Lewiston will temporarily close as crews relocate utility poles beginning Tuesday.
The City of Lewiston announced that 11th Avenue between Prospect Avenue and Snake River Avenue will be closed while utility work is completed in the area. The work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, March 17.
According to the city, the project involves relocating utility poles, with work being performed by Avista. Traffic control will be in place during the closure to allow local access to nearby businesses.
Officials say Snake River Avenue will be restricted to one lane during the work. Flaggers will be stationed along the roadway to direct traffic and help maintain access through the area.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone while crews complete the project.
