COTTONWOOD, ID — A Kamiah man was arrested Monday evening following a reported disturbance and alleged assault involving medical staff at a hospital in Cottonwood.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 6:53 p.m. on March 16 to a report of a combative individual at St. Mary’s Hospital. Dispatch received information that the subject was breaking items, yelling, and making threats toward staff.
When deputies arrived, they learned the individual had allegedly assaulted medical personnel inside the facility. Authorities also reported the man attempted to strike an emergency medical technician while being transported to the hospital.
The suspect, identified as 59-year-old Darren Koodray of Kamiah, was taken into custody and booked on two counts of felony assault on certain personnel.
