LEWISTON, ID — A construction project impacting access to the city’s transfer station and the end of Wild Dove Way is set to begin later this month, according to a press release from the City of Lewiston Public Works Department.
The city has contracted M.L. Albright & Sons, Inc. to reconstruct the transfer station access road and build a new cul-de-sac at the end of Wild Dove Way. Work is scheduled to run from March 30 through April 17 and will take place in multiple phases.
The project includes removing existing asphalt, excavating to subgrade, and installing new base materials and pavement. Crews will also complete concrete curb work, pavement markings, striping, and construct a temporary access route during part of the project.
Construction will be carried out in three phases. The first phase will focus on building a driveway approach, storm conveyance, and base rock placement for the cul-de-sac over about one week. The second phase, expected to last two weeks, will involve reconstruction of the transfer station access road. During that time, a temporary access route will be available, and transfer station operations are expected to continue without interruption. The final phase will include curb and gutter installation, driveway work, and asphalt paving for the cul-de-sac.
The City of Lewiston said updates will be provided as the project progresses, and additional information is available on the City of Lewiston’s website.
