Clarkston narcotics investigation leads to meth seizure, arrest

CLARKSTON, WA — A narcotics investigation in Clarkston has resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of methamphetamine and the arrest of a local man, according to a media release from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force.

Detectives with the task force reported they had been investigating a residence in the 1300 block of 6th Street due to suspected ties to individuals believed to be involved in the sale of narcotics. During the investigation, authorities stated they recovered methamphetamine believed to have originated from the residence, leading to the issuance and execution of a search warrant.

During the search, detectives reported locating just over three-quarters of a pound — approximately 384 grams — of methamphetamine inside the home.

Following the investigation, 41-year-old John E. Hale of Clarkston was arrested and booked into the Asotin County Jail. According to authorities, he faces charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (psilocybin mushrooms).

Two additional individuals with outstanding warrants were also taken into custody at the residence at the time the warrant was served, according to the release.
