LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston High School music program is returning home after earning Best Overall Band honors at a WorldStrides Heritage Festival competition in Orlando.

The Heritage Festival is a national adjudicated music event that brings together school bands, orchestras and choirs from across the country. Groups perform for judges and are evaluated on musical performance, technique and overall presentation, with top awards given within each division.

A welcome home gathering is planned for 5:30 p.m. today in the high school parking lot, where the community is invited to celebrate the students’ accomplishment and show their support.
