LEWISTON, ID — Anglers across the Clearwater Region can expect improved fishing opportunities this April as Idaho Fish and Game prepares to stock several local waters with catchable-sized rainbow trout.
Statewide, more than 214,000 rainbow trout will be released throughout April, with multiple locations in north-central Idaho included in the effort.
In the Clearwater Region, several lakes and ponds will receive fish, offering accessible options for both new and experienced anglers.
Among the largest local stockings, Winchester Lake is set to receive about 6,000 rainbow trout, while Deyo Reservoir will receive approximately 5,000 trout. Both locations offer easy access and amenities suited for families and beginners.
