COLFAX, WA – A jury has found a 38-year-old Auburn man guilty on multiple felonies from a property crime case in Whitman County.
Ahmed Ahmed was found guilty of possessing a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, and trespassing by a Whitman County Superior Court jury on Tuesday. He was found not guilty on other charges, including attempted vehicle theft. The trial began on Monday, and the jury deliberated for a couple of hours on Tuesday afternoon.
Ahmed was arrested by Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies in late January at a home on State Route 26 West of Colfax. The property owner called deputies when they saw Ahmed trying to start his motorhome. He was found with a vehicle stolen out of Seattle. Ahmed is set to be sentenced next week.
