MOSCOW, ID — The University of Idaho is preparing for its annual Vandal Giving Day, a two-day fundraising event set for April 7–8 aimed at supporting students, faculty and programs across campus.
The event spans 1,889 minutes and invites alumni, students, employees, parents and supporters to contribute to areas of the university they value most, including scholarships, academic colleges, student organizations and campus initiatives.
University officials say the event is designed to encourage broad participation, with donations of any size contributing to overall impact. Additional incentives, including matching gifts and donor-funded challenges, are expected to increase contributions by unlocking additional funding once participation goals are reached.
On campus, students and visitors can take part in the “Find Joe Vandal Challenge,” where participants locate hidden Joe Vandal figures using clues shared on social media. Each successful find directs $100 to a selected university fund.
Vandal Giving Day has grown into one of the university’s largest annual fundraising efforts. In 2025, the event raised more than $1.2 million to support student success and campus programs.
Supporters can participate by making a donation, sharing information online or signing up as event ambassadors to help promote the effort. Additional details and donation options are available through the university’s website.
